The Webmail has two application namely Roundcube and Horde.

Getting started with Creating a Custom Email on cPanel
Like I always say (haha okay, maybe I’m only saying this for the second time) if you don’t have a cPanel hosting plan yet, consider Namecheap’s cheapest and reliable hosting.
After getting your cPanel hosting plan and its login credentials; login and look for Email Accounts under the Email panel.
You will be redirected to another page (check the picture below) after clicking on Email Accounts. As you can see, I have already created an email for my domain. Therefore, if I were to create another email I would click on the +CREATE button. So yeah… Click on the +CREATE button to create your custom domain email.
After clicking the +CREATE button you will redirected to this page (picture below) where you can start to create your email account.
Once you are done filling the username and password field click +CREATE. Tip: Use the password generator option to get a strong password and then save it somewhere safe.
At this point you should have created and able to access your new custom email. To access it, click on the Check email button or Access Webmail button (in some cPanel accounts).
After clicking that, you will be redirected to another screen where you have to choose one Webmail application. This is basically the same as choosing a theme but in this case for your email’s inbox.
You can choose to select one as your default application. Otherwise, just click on their names to see how each application appears and pick the one you prefer. I, personally like the roundcube application as it is more appealing and advanced.
